Daily Card Tournaments

The daily tournament is the only part of ZumbaCards that costs nothing and produces something every single day. Your deck is entered automatically, it fights 5 battles, and it earns 5 XP whether it wins or loses.

How a tournament runs

Every account with a built deck is entered. Fields run to roughly 500 participants. Each entrant's 5-card deck fights 5 battles over the course of the day, and each battle is decided on the first side to take 3 of 5 rounds. Nothing is played manually — the resolution is automatic and you read the replay afterwards.

The tournament card reads Play & earn: 5 XP — that is 5 XP for the day's entry, not per battle. Winning does not multiply it; it moves you up the leaderboard, and the leaderboard is what pays Surprise Coins.

What the prizes are actually worth

Top finishers receive Surprise Coins. ZumbaCards has not published the full prize distribution, but the shape is the one every leaderboard has: a small number of positions are paid and the rest of the field is not. In a field of 500, a top-20 structure pays about 4% of entrants.

That matters less here than it would elsewhere, because entry is free and the XP accrues regardless. The tournament is worth entering every day on the XP alone. It is not worth buying cards specifically to climb the leaderboard unless you are already buying boxes for the Surprise Coins.

The XP arithmetic

At 5 XP a day, Bronze — the first discount tier, at 30% off every box — needs 250 XP, so about50 days of simply turning up. Silver at 5,000 XP is roughly 1,000 days on entry XP alone. Gold at 20,000 and the tiers above it are not reachable this way at all.

The practical conclusion: Bronze is worth the wait, because about fifty days of free entries buys a permanent 30% discount on the main cost of the platform. Beyond Bronze, the tiers track spending you were going to do anyway rather than anything patience can earn. See the full tier table, andthe box ladder those discounts apply to.

Does a better deck help?

For XP, no — the entry award is flat. For leaderboard placing, yes, and the lever is narrower than it looks: Speed decides who strikes first and first strikes compound across a best-of-five, so a fast card with moderate Power frequently outperforms a slow card with high Power.
